I am a lifelong Hilliard district resident who backs public education, rather than attacks it. My father was a teacher for 32 years and my mom worked in Hilliard schools as a cafeteria worker for over 13 years. My sister is a professional educator and teaches kindergarten in Dublin. Education runs deep in my family. In the year 2011, I was elected senior class president and earned my honors diploma from Hilliard Darby High School. Later, in 2018, I graduated Capital University Law School with a concentration in labor & employment law. I passed the bar exam and became a fully licensed attorney that same year.
It was my time in Hilliard that prepared me for future academic and personal successes. My upbringing has shaped my passions and my education has given me the ability to create positive change. It is with gratitude that I have been serving the community since 2020. Simply put, I am once again running for school board because I understand the value of good public education and want to continue what we have started.
Since being elected I have focused on three main issues. First is school safety, second is financial responsibility, and third is creating a culture of community and academic success.
All are equally important to maintaining and improving a good school district, and all are necessary to continued academic success.
I believe that voters should re-elect me because I offer concrete plans to improve the district and I have a proven record of delivering results. In addition, as the only current board member that actually attended Hilliard City Schools, I have a unique perspective on the day-to-day effects of board policy in our rapidly changing district. Thank you for supporting me and the future of Hilliard City Schools!
